Elect Conley
Elect Conley
To the editor: I can’t imagine a better Leelanau Township Supervisor candidate than Barbara Conley, M.D. wife, mother, grandmother and former academic oncologist. 10/02/2024 06:25 PM
Support for Ross
Support for Ross
To the editor: I am so grateful that I met Kama Ross soon after moving to Leelanau County in 2021. Kama has helped me find volunteer opportunities that match my interests and schedule, and introduced me to new friends and county resources. 10/02/2024 06:25 PM
Reelect Ross
Reelect Ross
To the editor: Reelect Kama Ross as District 5 county commissioner. Kama Ross has worked effectively and tirelessly with the bipartisan county commission to stay laser-focused on government responsibilities including financial management, a “Code of Conduct and Respect,” and departmental reorganizations to better serve our citizens. 10/02/2024 06:25 PM

Support EMS/police millages
To the editor: I’m writing you as 45-year volunteer fireman and as a 33-year Leelanau Township Board Trustee. Someone is spreading misinformation that the Township Board is “slashing” the Emergency Services and Police Fund. 10/02/2024 06:25 PM

To the editor: The Democrats on the BOC are prepping county taxpayers for another expensive and intrusive government crusade. This time they are defining a new enemy... 10/02/2024 06:25 PM
Grant dollars
Grant dollars
To the editor: Contrary to rumors and candidate misrepresentations, the construction and administration of a solar project at the County Government Center would be paid for entirely through grant dollars. If the State awards Leelanau County a grant, the solar array could produce self-generated clean energy within a year and immediately bring cost savings of over $35,000 annually. 09/25/2024 04:23 PM

Support Brookfield
To the editor: Lisa proves her worthiness as our Leland Township Clerk day after day. Her “open door” policy and eagerness to talk to residents about their concerns is refreshing. 09/25/2024 04:23 PM
Clean energy
Clean energy
To the editor: I wanted to thank the Leelanau County Energy Futures Task Force for working to bring clean energy to Leelanau County. I recently read a research paper prepared by Columbia University titled “Rebutting 33 False Claims about Solar, Wind and Electric Vehicles” that I found so helpful in understanding some of the misinformation presented on these topics. 09/25/2024 04:23 PM
