Ross committed
Ross committed
To the editor: As a former County Commissioner, there was no question in my mind that Kama Ross would make an exceptional County Commissioner when I encouraged her to run for District 5—and she has exceeded my expectations. What I didn’t know was how incredibly responsive she would be helping so many individuals find solutions to their problems. 10/16/2024 08:25 PM

Support Schwind
To the editor: I support Elizabeth Schwind for Leelanau Township Trustee. We need township trustees who understand policy and who have served the public. 10/16/2024 08:25 PM
Choose wisely
Choose wisely
To the editor: When I look at candidates for local office, I look at two criteria that are more important to me than whether they are a Democrat or a Republican: Do they have a history of local involvement as a volunteer trying to help the community? Do they have a work history or educational background that prepares them for community service? Look at the resumes of the candidates — have they done meaningful work to help the community already? Do they have a work history that shows their commitment to public welfare? Choose wisely. Rick Gans Northport. 10/16/2024 08:25 PM
Responsible Republicans?
Responsible Republicans?
To the editor: The Enterprise reported that the county spent $600,000 to create two new departments. On May 11, 2021 Republicans , with 20 minutes of discussion, approved creating these departments with no stated justification orcostestimate. 10/16/2024 08:25 PM
Less politics …
Less politics …
To the editor: Empire Village residents deserve experienced council members who understand government operations and finances. Knowledgeable people responsible for spending our tax dollars. 10/16/2024 08:25 PM
Republicans responsible
Republicans responsible
To the editor: It was the Republicans who instigated the County Reorganization that has cost us $800,000+. Led by Chairman Bunek, without notice or discussion, the County Commission in 2021 stripped duties performed successfully for 20 years by our County Clerk. 10/16/2024 08:25 PM
Support Bunek
Support Bunek
To the editor: I’ve lived in Bingham Township since 1979 and have seen many politicians come and go. Will Bunek, in my opinion has been one of the very best to ever serve in our County government. 10/16/2024 08:25 PM
Support Campbell
Support Campbell
To the editor: I support the leadership of Steve Yoder District 7, & Alan Campbell District 5, for County Commissioner. A commissioner should have experience owning and running their own business, managing employees, making a payroll and working within a budget. 10/16/2024 08:25 PM
Congratulations!
Congratulations!
To the editor: I would like to congratulate Patrice Korson & Mary Lingaur Co-chairs of the Lake Leelanau Street Fair Fall Festival. The new community did such a great job. 10/16/2024 08:25 PM
No flags or hats
No flags or hats

Vote for Dems
Vote for Dems
To the editor: Rick Robbins, Scott Perry, Lois Bahle, Ty Wessell, Kama Ross, Gwenne Allgaier, Tim Dowd: That’s the slate. Choice, freedom, democracy, decency: That’s the platform. 10/16/2024 08:25 PM
Vote for Ross
Vote for Ross
To the editor: I strongly encourage District 5 Commissioner constituents to vote for Kama Ross. Kama is a dedicated, responsive commissioner who listens respectfully to her constituents and works hard to represent their interests and concerns. 10/16/2024 08:25 PM
