Time for change
To the editor: Recently, Supervisor Och accused the Leland Township Board of balancing budgets by “ignoring” parks and infrastructure. True, we developed an efficient, sustainable budget.

To the editor: Ty Wessell says he’s reduced taxes and improved teamwork on the County Board, but the numbers tell a different story. Spending is up, and taxes have followed.

Decisive leader needed
To the editor: The present County Board has failed to hire a permanent county administrator. Commissioner Kama Ross, representing Leland and Centerville Townships, cast the only no vote against continuing the process in a speedy fashion.

To the editor: ACTIONS speak louder than words! Kama Ross has been a very active and dedicated County Commissioner. Personally, I appreciate her leadership and involvement working to resolve the safety issue of M22 between M204 and Leland.

Faith and confidence
To the editor: A call was given to Leelanau’s BOC at Tuesday’s meeting to reassure a resident that they firmly believed in the election system and process the Clerk has chosen to use locally is trustworthy. Concerns were shared with the BOC over the past year by numerous local individuals.

To the editor: I was there in 2021 when the Board voted along party lines, without a plan or cost consideration, to reorganize Finance/ HR, and to begin meetings with Christianprayer. And,when the Chair proposed a Right to Life Resolution.

To the editor: Ty Wessell must be reelected and returned to his seat on the Leelanau County Board of Commissioners. Ty is fully prepared, fully informed, fully engaged, and fully committed to working with others to achieve the very best for the residents and the natural environment we cherish.
