Afraid
To the editor: To my “enemies”: I am afraid the news I’m hearing is very different from the news you’re hearing. I’m afraid you’re listening to lies, and worse, believing lies. 07/10/2024 03:48 PM
Platform, or lack of...
Platform, or lack of...
To the editor: Does Trump have an actual platform, other than revenge? In his rambling speeches, and remarks, I hear whining and attacking democrats. He demeans the legal system for his treatment but “get ‘em” if it’s his opposition. 07/10/2024 03:48 PM
Renew library millage
Renew library millage
To the editor: I’m writing this letter to encourage Suttons Bay and Bingham Township voters to support the renewal of our library millage. This renewed, not increase, millage would enable the library to continue to provide activities and services for our communities such as weekly storytime offered year-round, public WiFi and computer, a monthly book club, technology classes in spring and fall, use of a community meeting room, special items to borrow such as toys and musical instruments, and so much more. 07/10/2024 03:48 PM

Fan of Merlin
To the editor: I would like to add a hearty second to Alan Campbell’s suggestion in last week’s Enterprise to download the Merlin bird song identification app to your phone and rediscover the birdscape around us. As a lifelong bird watcher, I thought I pretty much knew the birds that visit our yard and feeders. 07/10/2024 03:48 PM

State divided: geographically, politically
Unless you moved to this state recently from another planet you are pretty much aware that Michigan is a divided state not only geographically but politically as well. It’s southeast Michigan vs. West Michigan. Lower Peninsula vs. Uppers. Uppers vs. the rest of the free world. Lower Michigan below Clare vs. everyone else up North and so it goes. 07/10/2024 03:48 PM

To the editor: Leelanau County residents have a proven leader in the Register of Deeds office with Jennifer Grant as Register. I first met Jennifer through the Michigan Association of Registers of Deeds and it didn’t take long to realize that she is not only an asset to the association but also to the residents of Leelanau County. 07/02/2024 05:21 PM
