In a quick turn of events, Village of Northport Council is now uncertain whom it will appoint as the at-large representative on the Northport/ Leelanau Township Utilities Authority (NLTUA). At a special meeting Feb. 1, council had arrived at an unofficial consensus regarding the planned appointment of Campbell McLeod to the position. *** No raise is warranted for a township clerk whose duties have largely been reassigned to her deputy. Such was the sentiment at Tuesday’s meeting of the Kasson Township Board — the first since a Feb. 1 special meeting during which duties of Clerk Traci Cruz were reassigned to her deputy.
