Chili cookoff Saturday in G-A

Surprisingly enough, the snowmobile drag races were held as scheduled. It was a grass and mud mobile race, but it was surprisingly well attended.

Something to look forward to, March 2 and 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Maple sugaring days at the Dechow and Olsen farms in the Port Oneida Rural Historic District.

Experience the sugaring process with guided hikes and demonstrations. Free with a park pass.

All good wishes to Harvey Warburton recovering from quadruple bypass surgery. Hope to see him back in the summer.

OK. OK, some of you are happy with the Super Bowl winner. It was a great game, which it should be and today there are some collecting and some paying.

Get your taste buds ready to judge, the Chili Cook off on Saturday on Boonedocks Deck. Good chili. Good music and above all a great time.

Fly your flag Monday the 19th, Presidents Day, act like a patriot.

Happy Birthday wishes to Frank Siepker, Karen VanNort, Sue Miller, Andy Soderholm, Kathy Fordyce, Tom Rademacher and Marcie Ferris. Happy Anniversary wishes to Linda and Terry Gretzema. Hoping both are well.

Stay safe. Be careful. Be happy.

Go Patriotism.
