Two K Farms was awarded a series of gold medals at the Harvest Terroir Challenge held in November of 2023.

The Harvest Challenge pits wineries of the same appellation, with the same soil, climate, and growing conditions.

Offering a truly local, more accurate representation of each wine, based on factors affecting the quality and depth of flavors for participating producers in their respective growing region.

According to Harvest Challenge spokesman, Christopher Sawyer, “The Harvest Challenge is a judge’s dream come true. Beyond varietal category and price point, this one-of-a-kind competition is based on appellation instead of mass production. The end result is more definition of the wines made with grapes inside the boundaries of a specific viticulturist area and distinct flavors that have helped wines rise to the top of the scale in the global marketplace.

Two K’s 2020 Bubbly Riesling (double gold); 2020 Apple Wine (gold); 2020 Riesling.

“Two K Farms is truly unique in this terroir challenge; producing wine and cider made from fruit grown exclusively at our farm ... A true representation of ‘farm to glass’ or as we say at the farm -- ‘graft to glass,” Two K Farms owner Max Koskela said in a press release. “The entire process of growing, harvesting, processing of fruit, and packaging of cider and wine is done on site. Each bottle and can contains the fruits of our labor.”
