Joe Rexroat has come home.
Dr. Rexroat, a Lake Leelanau native, is now a family medicine physician with the Milliken Medical Group in Traverse City.
Rexroat went to Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed his family medicine residency at Trinity Health Grand Rapids hospital.
As a family medicine physician, Rexroat enjoys the diversity of medical conditions and people he can serve.
“I firmly believe that the best medicine requires me to listen first and be receptive to new ideas or information to best serve my patients. Sometimes the answer to a medical problem comes from the patient if we listen,” he said.
Rexroat has a family of four. In his free time, he enjoys all sports, especially fat tire biking.
