The skiers and sledders are not very happy at this point. I must say that although I am not much on winter outdoor sports any more, I understand the frustration of those that enjoy and partake of winter sports. The frustrating thing is that the ski areas are having trouble even making snow. Just wait.
Congratulations to Glen Lake’s Ruby Hogan for being honored as one of the top 12 prep athletes by the Record Eagle and “Basketball Player of the Year” by the Associated Press. Outstanding.
Another year in the book and for the seniors out there a couple of thoughts from learned scholars. George Burns said “By the time you’re 80 years old you’ve learned everything. You only have to remember it.” And Robert Orben said “Old people shouldn’t eat health foods. They need all the preservatives they can get” Happy Birthday wishes to John Velis, Pam Hargreaves, one of my favorite people, granddaughter Taylor Wilcox and don’t forget “tricky” Richard Nixon, Zachary Benjamin and Elvis.
