The Glen Lake Schools Foundation held its third annual fundraiser at Rove Winery on Thursday evening, May 29.
The purpose of the fundraiser was to raise money to help remove barriers that might hinder a Glen Lake student’s learning. The foundation also works to meet any unfilled needs that might enrich or expand the student experience at Glen Lake Community Schools.
One hundred guests at the fundraiser gathered to bid on 63 silent and live auction items. With cooperative weather, patrons of the event enjoyed delicious food, drinks, musical entertainment and the shared purpose of giving for a great cause. The total raised at this year’s fundraiser was nearly $27,000.
“We simply can’t be more grateful to our donors and our patrons for making this evening a success,” Christie Randolph, Fundraiser chair, said. “We look forward to using this money to benefit students at Glen Lake.”
The Glen Lake Schools Foundation makes donations to the school throughout the year. Requests to the Foundation usually come from staff at the school. You can donate to the foundation at www.glenlakeschoolsfoundation. org.
