1:20 a.m. — Bingham Township — Caller would like his girlfriend to leave for the night.
2:48 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Male and female yelling on the line. Disconnected quickly and phone was turned off upon call back.
8:29 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Every day, around 7:15 a.m. a Silver Chevy Colorado speeding over 80 mph and passing recklessly.
10:26 a.m. — Leland Township — Neighbor’s dog (Pit mix of some kind) jumped the fence onto caller’s yard and attacked caller’s male Australian shepherd. Occurred about 9 p.m. yesterday.
1:59 p.m. — Kasson Township — Westbound on M-72, dark blue Cadillac. Older model driving recklessly. Passed dangerously in no passing and rode behind very close. Speeding.
6:35 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Black Ford F150 truck parked in a handicap lot but no placard.
10:07 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller’s wife was following him in a red Mazda Miata. She has not returned home. It has been over two hours. Caller called back to advise he just found his wife.
10:11 p.m. — Centerville Township — Caller is reporting
underage drinking at Good
Harbor Beach.
Friday, May 30
12:15 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Friend was dropped off at residence. Passed out in the driveway.
2:12 a.m. — Bingham Township — Domestic.
7:11 a.m. — Solon Township — White SUV in the roadway. Did not see anyone in it. Feels it could be an obstruction.
7:57 a.m. — Solon Township — Caller saw a box of nails fall off a truck at Goodrick and M-72.
10:30 a.m. — Bingham Township — Property line issue.
1:45 p.m. — Bingham Township — Passerby reporting a car in the ditch, actively trying to get out. Was very muddy and they weren’t having much luck. Brown BMW sedan.
4:56 p.m. —Elmwood Township — Caller noticed checks were duplicated and cashed in Grand Rapids.
10:15 p.m.— Elmwood Township — Caller requests a welfare check on her daughter. (Spoke to subject on the phone and she is well.)
11:32 p.m. — Solon Township — Dead bear sub near the end of caller’s driveway. Mama bear is reported to be in the area with a live cub in tow. Made contact with DNR through Leelanau Dispatch. They will attempt to make contact with an officer and a biologist to respond to the scene. (Cub taken by DNR. Mama bear is quite agitated and will probably hanging around for a few days. (Deputy will attempt making contact with the homeowner to advise them of the bear.)
Saturday, May 31
1:08 a.m. — Solon Township — Leelanau County assisting DNR with bear complaint.
8:05 a.m. — Solon Township — Caller had difficulty with debit card at pumps. Paid inside. Was later advised by bank her card had been breached.
11:17 a.m. —Empire Township — Personal Protection Order violation. Subject currently threatening and driving very slowly by the house.
4:29 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Neighbor is out screaming and yelling at neighbors. Screaming from upper deck at people.
Sunday, June 1
12:53 a.m. — Kasson Township — Granddaughter was supposed to come home and hasn’t.
8:39 a.m. — Empire Township — Newfoundland dog found in yard. Black and white. No collar. No tags. Little dirty. Being a little aggressive with caller’s dogs.
10:09 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Woman acting strangely. Barefoot. Has ear muffs on. Laying down on bicycle. (Per law enforcement subject is alert and oriented. She was out enjoying the sun. She is on her way.)
4:48 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Rangers out with motorcycles at Little Glen Lake Picnic Area.
5:45 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller had trees cut down. Workers left 10 yards of wood chips for them. Wife went to pile to get some and she said there is heat coming from the center. Concerned about combustion.
11:07 p.m. — Kasson Township — Juvenile has been missing for 24 hours. (Juvenile returned home and was spoken to by her parents and deputies.)
Monday, June 2
9:50 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Miscellaneous juvenile activity.
1:57 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Two people on paddle boards. Caller can’t tell if they are wearing personal flotation devices (PFD). Near the Homestead now. Park Service is in Glen Haven. Will try to get eyes on them. One paddle boarder is in a yellow outfit; the other in gray or white. They seem to be heading to Pyramid Point with purpose but no signs of distress. They seem to be north of the Homestead but show no intention of heading toward shore. Too far away to see whether they have PDFs. (Paddle boarders are back on land. Left from Glen Haven and went to Port Oneida.)
2:17 p.m. — Empire Township — Girl, 11, went walking along the beach to the north about 30 minutes ago and is out of sight. Mom can’t find her. (There is someone matching the description heading back to Empire from the North Bar Outlet Area. Mother has child now.)
3:28 p.m. — Solon Township — Horse, farm manure fire may be behind the barn. No flames visible. (Smoldering brush pile net to large smoldering pile of manure.)
6:07 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Someone is running ads through caller’s Facebook account which has been hacked.
9:47 p.m. — Empire Township — Someone in the gas station is having difficulties figuring out directions to where they need to be.
10:07 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Cows walking in the road.
