Class of 2025 set to graduate

Some 150 in-seat students and another 45 virtual students will conclude their high school careers with ceremonies scheduled over the next two weekends.

Suttons Bay’s graduation will commence first on Friday with virtual students receiving diplomas at 5 p.m. followed by in-person students starting at 7 p.m.

Suttons Bay Virtual will graduate 45 students, 36 in-seat. Co-Valedictorians are Isabelle Plamondon and Graham Marti.

Sunday will be a big day for graduations with ceremonies in Maple City, Leland and Lake Leelanau.

Forty-four members of the Class of 2025 at Glen Lake will receive diplomas at a 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the school’s large gym.

Austin O’Connor and Anderson Stansberry are co-valedictorians at Glen Lake.

Just a road up the coast, in Leland, 31 Comets are scheduled to receive diplomas at 3 p.m. in the school’s large gym.

Ella Knudsen and Nola Fedderman are class valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively.

Beth Osorio, a kindergarten teacher, will be giving the commencement address.

Lake Leelanau St. Mary will hold its graduation at 5 p.m. on Sunday at the church.

The Eagles will be represented by Anthony Grant, valedictorian and Cathryn Mikowski, salutatorian of the class of 15 graduates.

Graduations will continue the following weekend at both ends of the peninsula.

Ten Northport graduates are scheduled to receive diplomas a Friday, June 6 at 7 p.m.

And Saturday, June 7 at 11 a.m., 14 Leelanau School students will participate in commencement exercises.

There will also be a Lawn & Tree Ceremony, Friday, June 6, attended by all students.
