Having read your article about potential conflicts of interest, I looked again at the candidates for the Cherryland Electric Board, you many have missed the biggest conflict of interest.
Some candidates have been, by their own disclosure, funded by a non-profit organization promoting the goal of making Cherryland Electric 100% dependent on non-reliable energy sources.
Presently, with its very balanced energy portfolio, Cherryland has the highest reliability and the lowest rates of any other utility company in northern Michigan, We should reelect Melinda Lautner to the Cherryland Board, to be assured this continues. Lawrence Bunchek Leland
