Dog Ears Books in Northport will host Traverse City poet Fleda Brown, former poet laureate of Delaware, Friday at noon.
Brown will read from her new chapbook, “Doctor of the World.”
The event is free, and attendees are invited to bring a sack lunch for casual conversation with this personable author. A non-alcoholic beverage will be provided.
At midday Monday, Memorial Day, retired elementary school teachers and children’s author Kathy Growth from northern Wisconsin, will be at Dog Ears to inscribe copies of her new book, “Sunken: Shipwrecks of Lake Michigan” a book that takes readers into the underwater world of history and mystery through the eyes of two young children and a magical map.
