• The sixth annual Glen Arbor Township Memorial Day Ceremony, Friday, May 23; at 10 a.m. at the township cemetery, 6305 Forest Haven Drive.
• The Little Finger Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) will again host an observance beginning at 10 a.m. Monday. The venue is set for Veterans Plaza off M-204 at the Leelanau County Government Center. Should inclement weather interfere, activities will be moved inside to the VFW Hall.
• Leelanau Township will hold its annual Memorial Day observance ceremony on Monday at Leelanau Township Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. At 10 a.m., “Rolling Taps,” a melody declared by Congress as the “National Song of Remembrance,” will be performed by the members of the Northport Community Band throughout the village.
