The Empire Area Community Center has been busy, the planned Empire Winter Fest will be on Saturday February 22.
The scheduled events are: book sale at the Empire Library noon to 5 p.m. Polar Dip at the South Bar dock at 1 p.m. Coffee and Hot Cocoa Neighbor Meetup at Tiffany’s Café, Soup Potluck and Live Music at the Village Hall 5 to 7 p.m., you are asked to bring soup a side dish or dessert to share. Music will be provided by Criss Skellenger and Paul Koss.
The Empire Area Community Center will hold its Annual meeting at the Empire Library on February 13 at 5 p.m.
Now is the time to get a vendor application for the 53rd Glen Lake Woman’s Club Art Fair. To be held on July 16 at the Glen Arbor Township Hall. For information visit www.glenlakewomansclub. org or the Glen Lake Chamber of Commerce at www.visitglenarbor.com.
Look forward to the annual Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, Feb. 15 from noon to 2:30 p.m. on Boonedock’s deck. There is still room for more entries, call Boonedocks and enter your soon to be world famous Chili. Let everyone enjoy it.
The annual Perch Fishing contest will be held that morning. Register at The Sportsman Shop from 6:30 to 7 a.m. The winner will be announce at the Chili Fest.
