The Leelanau Township Library will again be offering the Great Decisions Discussion program.
Great Decisions is America’s largest discussion program on world affairs. The program provides background information and policy options for the eight most critical issues facing America each year and serves as the focal text for discussion groups across the country.
The topics this year are: American Foreign Policy at a Crossroads; U.S. Changing Leadership of the World Economy; U.S.-China Relations; India: Between China, the West, and the Global South; International Cooperation on Climate Change; The Future of NATO and European Security; AI and American National Security; American Foreign Policy in the Middle East: Taking Stock and Looking Ahead.
This event is free and open to the public. Briefing books are available at the library one per household, first come first serve basis.
The group meets at the Leelanau Township meeting room located adjacent to the library for eight Tuesdays from 1:30 to 3 p.m. beginning Jan. 14, 2025 through March 4, 2025. Contact the library with any questions at 231-386-5131.
