The Friends of the Leelanau Township Library will host a Robert Burns Night Soup Supper with poetry.
Burns was a Scottish poet and lyricist widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland and is celebrated worldwide.
From 6 to 8:30 p.m, Tuesday, at the library, participants can bring your favorite poem to share or just come and enjoy.
The menu includes Cock-aleekie soup (bring you own mug and spoon); bread and tipsy laird dessert.
This is a free event. Donations are welcomed. You may also sign up to bring soup or bread by calling the library at 386-5131.
