8:24 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Family trouble.

Wednesday, Jan. 1

3:50 a.m. —Elmwood Township — Rollover accident. No one inside the vehicle. Call from the Road Commission indicated a female driver jumped in a white Ford truck and left eastbound. Truck pulled over. Sobriety test administered; one in custody for operating while intoxicated.

10:49 a.m. — Empire Township — Motor vehicle crash. Persons involved in the accident cannot find a way to Traverse City. Park Service will investigate and carry the accident report.

1:53 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Motor vehicle crash with minor injuries. Road Commission notified of conditions.

2:30 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Two vehicles on M-204. Debris in the roadway. (One subject in custody.)

2:36 p.m. — Empire Township — Automobile crash without injury. Gray CRV. One in custody. Park Service will notify for assistance with sand.

Thursday, Jan. 2

11:13 a.m. — Leland Township — Someone tried to break into trailer on property.

7:40 p.m. — Solon Township — The Leelanau County “Walking Man” was seen on Co. Rd. 651 south of the cemetery, headed toward M-72. Passerby driving north. Just wanted it noted because of the cold conditions. He was fully dressed and did not appear to be in distress. Caller just wanted officers to be aware.

8:08 p.m. — Empire Township — Property check at the Empire Lighthouse.

8:48 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Behind a possible drunk driver. Black Chevy Traverse. Crossed over lane lines. Northbound on M-22.

Friday, Jan. 3

3:44 a.m. — Cleveland Township — Caller has a propane stove and the knob had been bumped and the stove had been on all night and the house has a strong odor of gas.

11:45 a.m. — Centerville Township — Caller is concerned because he was on the phone with a female who demanded he give her gift cards.

2:42 p.m. — Kasson Township — Welfare check requested. No answering caller’s calls, which is unusual. (Law enforcement spoke with subject. He is fine. Just didn’t want to pick up the phone.)

3:47 p.m. — Bingham Township — White Volvo passing dangerously.

Saturday, Jan. 4

8:16 a.m. — Cleveland Township — Older chocolate lab with gray muzzle, collar and tags running north on Bohemian.

10:01 a.m. — Leland Township — Whole row of mailboxes have been destroyed and mail is strewn about.

1:46 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Purple Dodge truck. Sobriety tests administered. Driver taken into custody for operating while intoxicated.

4:15 p.m. — Centerville Township — Neighbor’s dog is always barking at all hours of the day and night. Ongoing issue for over a year. Caller has already spoke to the dog owner about it. Would like to speak to animal control officers before he responds.

4:53 p.m. — Bingham Township — Vehicle pulled out in front of the callers then started to pull over. Caller slowed down and the other vehicle u-turned back into the road. Caller’s car is scraped. They kept going.

4:53 p.m. — Leland Township — Someone egged house last night. Caller thinks it was an ex. 7:13 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller is behind a vehicle that is swerving, stopping multiple times in the middle of the road.

8:26 p.m. — Bingham Township — Sister came over and threatened the caller. Sister was trespassed from the property.

10:58 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller was very flustered and talking extremely fast.

Sunday, Jan. 5

2:52 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Vehicle in the Tom’s parking lot. (Driver was advised to move to another location to sleep for the night.)

1:16 p.m. — Bingham Township — Northbound on M-22, older green GMC SUV, varying speeds and crossing the center line.

2:40 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Male was in caller’s car when she came out of cafe. He stated it was a mistake. He “ran off” quickly.

6:56 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller would like aunt removed from the residence.

7:43 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Suspicious vehicle.

Monday, Jan. 6

9 a.m. — Bingham Township — Vehicle with mechanical issues causing driver to go in the ditch. He has contacted his own wrecker. (Wrecker arrived.)

1:30 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Trespassing complaint.

1:39 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller has been trying to move her things from where she was employed and housed after leaving. She heard from another party that owner was throwing the rest of things in the dumpster. (Civil complaint.)

2:15 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Violation of controlled substance law.

2:56 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Ford Freestyle rolled over. It appears from tracks that driver may have gotten a ride. Caller said she picked up a male from near the scene and gave him a ride.
