St. Mary Church live Nativity Dec. 28

The story of Christ’s humble birth will come alive at St. Mary Catholic Church through a community- driven live Nativity presentation on Saturday, Dec. 28, from 3-4 p.m.

The event brings together local builders, artisans and farmers to recreate the sacred scene.

“We rely on one another, trust each other and God to make this happen,” St. Mary parishioner and event organizer Sarah Morio said. “I see it in my own family as we prepare our small flock of Shetland sheep and build a life-size stable.”

More than 20 St. Mary School students will participate in the Nativity cast. Community members have donated costumes, time and resources, while others are organizing refreshments including hot chocolate.

The free event welcomes visitors to experience the Nativity story, see live animals and join in fellowship with refreshments.
