Crooked Tree to take over S-B Art Festival

The Crooked Tree Arts Association will be taking over the Suttons Bay Art Festival beginning next year.

The Suttons Bay Art Festival began as a regional art venue over 40 years ago, with a group of local artists wanting to display their art, and they watched it evolve over time into one of the premiere art venues in the Midwest, attracting artists from the region and beyond.

Artists enjoy the location and beauty of being on the bay, while visitors appreciate the variety and quality of the work brought into Suttons Bay for one weekend in August.

The Suttons Bay Art Festival is a volunteer organization, with many of the same people involved since the beginning, and they watched the venue grow. But, as with anything over time, sometimes growth necessitates change.

The committee has inked an agreement with the Crooked Tree Arts Association, that beginning with the 2025 show, the Suttons Bay Art Festival is now under the umbrella of the Crooked Tree Arts Association.

Founders Donna Popke and Bill Perkins will assist Crooked Tree with the transition and assimilation of the Art Festival into their organization.

The Suttons Bay Art Festival will continue to be held on the first weekend in August at its location in marina park in Suttons Bay.
