To the editor:
Thank you Leelanau County. With the support of you and Toys for Tots of Northern Michigan, we brightened Christmas for over 150 Leelanau County families, more than 460 individuals.
Donations of new toys, clothing, gift cards and time made this a remarkable event! Families were able to “shop” at the VFW Hall in Lake Leelanau and choose gifts for their children. Families received Meijer/ Tom gift cards and gas cards; teens received Old Navy/Gap gift cards; children received games, arts and crafts and toys. Tears, hugs and smiles radiated throughout the VFW. It was indeed a magical place.
