An Elmwood Township man is charged with a sex crime after a September encounter with a minor.
David R. Miller of 6201 E. Hoxie Rd., was arraigned last week on one count of fourthdegree criminal sexual conduct (CSC).
According to the criminal complaint, victim Jane Doe was riding in a car which stopped in a driveway. The defendant was on the porch sitting.
Doe was told to go over and give Miller a hug by way of greeting. As Jane Doe was giving Miller a hug, the defendant allegedly groped the girls buttocks with one hand.
Bond was set at $50,000 personal recognizance. Probation conditions are that Miller have no contact with anyone under 18. He was also ordered not to go where minor children are present.
Fourth-degree CSC is a twoyear, high court misdemeanor.
Miller’s next court date is Nov. 22.
