Ample acorn supply in G-A

Fall is definitely here, leaves are falling in clumps and the acorns are in mounds. The squirrels are loving it.

The traffic is down and crossing the M-22 drag strip is safer.

There is not too much to report on, and not to complain, but I had a little bit of life surgery and I can’t see a bloody thing.

There is time when reading this paper to take part in the Versiti Blood Drive being held at the Glen Lake Community library Friday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Glen Arbor Chamber of Commerce held meeting at Broomstack in Maple City seemed to be fairly well attended.

Empire Lions Club pancake breakfast was its normal success, approximately 130 people enjoyed pancakes with all the trimmings.

Get ready for some kids and some adults with a sugar high this week. Starting with the Glen Arbor annual daytime trick-or-treat Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. Then there’s a little pause until Empire on the 31st annual Trunk or Treat starting at 5 to 6 p.m. Happy Birthday wishes to Doug Slessman, Ed Ricker, Donna Bergen, Robert Quinn, Peachy Rentenbach, Theodore Roosevelt, John Adams, James K. Polk, and Warren G. Harding. Correction last week, Kathy Read should be Kathy Reid.

That’s the best I can do this week folks. Be safe. Be happy. Be kind to the ghosts , goblins, cowboys, etc at your door.

As always, Go Patriotism!
