In 1997 I wrote, I look forward to writing the Glen Lake news and hope everyone will contribute. Please call or fax me with any stories or news of visiting people coming and going or even people that are ill and would like a card or call. Remember that without contributors we have no news. Some of the news at that time was congratulating women’s club on a great job with their smorgasbord, unfortunately can’t do that anymore, we miss it. A lot has changed in the 27 years I’ve been writing this and yet there is much that is the same.
Glen Arbor Bucks are back, talk to a local Chamber of Commerce member on where to get them and how it works. While we are talking about the Glen Arbor Chamber of Commerce Dinner will be held on Oct. 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Broomstacks in Maple City. Contact your local Chamber member for reservations.
There will be a magic show Oct. 5 at 11 a.m. at the Glen Lake Community Library featuring Joel Tacey.
I certainly hope everyone has been and will continue to enjoy the bonus weather that we are having.
Don’t forget if you are a runner to get out to the Dune Climb for the Sleeping Bear Marathon on the 5th. I might make it next year, but I doubt it.
