Cherry Pie Debate set

The Leelanau Enterprise, Interlochen Public Radio (IPR) and the League of Women Voters will host the biennial Cherry Pie Debate, Tuesday, Oct. 1 in Glen Arbor.

The Leelanau Enterprise, Interlochen Public Radio (IPR) and the League of Women Voters will host the biennial Cherry Pie Debate, Tuesday, Oct. 1 in Glen Arbor.

The public is invited to meet candidates for the 103rd State House — Betsy Coffia and Lisa Trombley — and candidates for the county Board of Commissioners.

Each commissioner candidate will be given two minutes to state why they are running for office. State House candidates will answer questions to explain their positions. Rebuttal time will be permitted.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. Ed Ronco from IPR and John Elchert from the Leelanau Enterprise.

There will also by Chimoski Bakery cherry pie and ice cream from Cherry Republic.
