Chuck Schaeffer is stepping down from the Kasson Township Planning Commission.
During his tenure, Schaeffer served as a member of the Planning Commission from September 2005 until November 2010. He then rejoined the planners in March of 2012 as a commissioner and as the recording secretary, and this service has continued until now.
Schaeffer will be recognized at the next Kasson Township Board meeting, Tuesday, Dec. 12 as well as the planners’ next meeting, Dec. 18.
“I am extremely thankful to have had (Schaeffer’s) participation in our township government,” Supervisor Greg Julian said. “He is knowledgeable, thorough, and committee.
“(Schaeffer’s) contributions to the Planning Commission are numerous. We have been fortunate to have him in many capacities.”
Jerry Roush, Planning Commission chair, also had words of thanks.
“(Schaeffer) has done an outstanding job as Planning Commission member and elected secretary all of these years,” he said. “His knowledge and devotion to the Planning Commission and the residents of Kasson Township will be sorely missed.”
