The League of Women Voters Leelanau County will host a series of candidate forums in person and online in coming weeks.
The first will be held tonight at the Munnecke Room of the Leland Township Library.
District 1 candidates Tim McCalley will face Democratic nominee and former commissioner Rick Robbins. District 4 candidates Ty Wessell and Jim White will also be participating.
Next Wednesday, Sept. 18 District 2 candidates Scott Perry and Mark Walter will be participating as well as District 5 candidates, Kama Ross and Alan Campbell.
Thursday, Sept. 19 will feature District 6 candidates Gwenne Allgaier and Mark Roberts as well as District 7 candidates Tim Dowd and Steve Yoder.
Thursday, Oct. 3 will conclude the series with a forum for District 3 commissioners, Lois Bahle and Will Bunek. Drain commissioner candidates Faith Hoekstra and Tim O’Non will also be present.
All forums will begin with a meet and greet at 6:30 p.m., followed by the forum, from 7 to 9 p.m.
