The 3rd annual Leelanau Maritime History Festival is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21.
The Leelanau Historical Society will host the celebration by gathering local maritime organizations, historians, and preservationists together for a day of education and celebration on the grounds surrounding the Leelanau Historical Society Museum. Explore maritime exhibits on Free Admission Day.
The 20th annual Classic Boat Show, “Wood Boats on the Wall,” will be held at the same time, along Leland River.
This is a free family-friendly event open to the public at the Leelanau Historical Society Museum, 203 E. Cedar Street, Leland.
Bring your lawn chairs/blankets and the whole family for a day of maritime fun. Donations are appreciated.
