The 57th annual Buckley Old Engine Show starts today in Buckley and runs through Sunday.

The Buckley Old Engine organization includes county resident Larry Wichern, who has participated in the event nearly every since its inception.

“We are expecting record attendance,” said Jim Luper, of the Old Engine Show organization. “Last year we had over 50,000 people attend our fourday show.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to ride two real steam trains: Buckley’s 1918 full-size train and the Spirit of Traverse City. They can visit a 1990s Front Street; explore a 1800s sawmill, a foundry, blacksmith and shingle mill.

There is also a 400-lot flea market; 1,000 antique tractors; arts and crafts and much more.

The show grounds are located at 6090 2 1/2 Rd. Buckley.
