Contact amendments for nonunion employees were approved this week by the Suttons Bay Board of Education.
The amendments were needed to bring their contracts in line with that adopted last month by the board and Board of Education, Superintendent Casey Petz said.
Changes were also made to address issues with the state Office of Retirement services, which had failed to accurately calculate years of service.
These changes were approved for:
• Ashley Shimek, virtual school principal and director of special education.
• Jamie Hawkins, assistant secondary principal and athletic director.
• Tim Smith, chief operations officer and pupil accounting.
• Christine Porter, human resources director and board recording secretary.
• Tom Bumgardner, lead mechanic and transportation personnel officer.
• Mike Urbano, transportation director, bus driver and maintenance staff member.
• Margaret Herman, food service director.
