Arthur Benjamin, Ph.D, professor of mathematics and a magician‚ will take the Old Art Building stage for an exclusive, two-night engagement Aug. 11 and 12.
A three-time TED Talk presenter and author, Benjamin has melded his two loves to create a dynamic presentation called “mathemagics” where he demonstrates and explains his secrets for performing rapids mental calculations faster than a calculator. Described as “America’s best math whiz” by “Reader’s Digest” Benjamin has presented his high energy, entertaining performance for thousands of groups throughout the world.
Sunday, Aug. 11 is the OAB opening night fundraiser, which will begin with a cocktail hour featuring live music and appetizers, at 6 p.m. The show begins at 7 p.m.
Beer and wine, and a specialty cocktail be available by donation. Tickets for this night is $50.
Benjamin will continue to work his magic Monday for audiences 8 years and up. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; show begins at 7 p.m.
