Leland students and locals alike will have an improved tennis/ pickleball on which to recreate this fall.
The Leland Board of Education voted unanimously July 22 to approve a bid from Grand Traverse Sealcoating and Striping to resurface the tennis/pickleball courts at Hancock Park.
The bid was for $28,500. In other business during the 15-minute session the board:
• Authorized Superintendent Stephanie Long and business manager Shawn Stowe to sign internal fund checks.
• Designated Huntington Bank and Public Financial Management, Inc. as its financial institutions.
• Designated Thrun Law Firm and legal counsel.
• Approved an overnight trip, Sept. 13 and 14, for the girls volleyball team.
