St. Mary School installed new playground equipment that increases play opportunities, especially for younger children, thanks to a generous grant awarded by the Oleson Foundation.
The playground is a shared space that provides both students and the community with a fun filled, joyful environment to explore create and socialize. Community playground updates include a sandbox, school bus spring rider, outdoor musical instruments, seating and a storage shed.
Gerald and Frances Oleson established the Oleson Foundation in 1962.
The foundation is designed to perform good works in northwestern Lower Michigan with five pillars in mind - Art, Community Development, Education, Environment, and Health and Human Services.
