After a few hiccups, River Club Glen Arbor (RCGA), nestled along the Crystal River, is having a Grand Opening on Friday, July 12 after two weeks of soft opening.
RCGA originally planned on having a grand opening on June 17, but delays and quality of product had them pushing it back to July 12 with a ribbon cutting at noon and 3 p.m. on Friday.
“Our goal is safety, kindness and quality. So all of those things had to be in order before we open,” RCGA owner Mike Sheldon said.
RCGA has been softly opened for nearly two weeks and have seen plenty of business.
Sheldon said the new miniature golf course saw 1,200 patrons come through its doors on Sunday June 30, representing the kickoff of summer.
“We’re getting rave reviews from the folks that have been to the park about the quality of our staff ... So that was really important because there’s nothing worse than going someplace and not having a good experience,” Sheldon said. “We always have a great outlook and a great staff with a big smile on their face.”
RCGA has dubbed their new course “summertime utopia.”
Offering Mexican-inspired cuisine, signature drinks from the Caddy Shack bar, incredible views of the river, Sky Deck seating, and a concert stage hosting live music five days a week.
“The Crystal River is a gem not everyone has daily access to. Now you can have a front row seat to enjoy a delicious meal and your favorite drink while watching fish, birds, and kayakers float by. Want to spark some friendly-ish competition? Your group can play our custom- designed, Michiganinspired mini-golf course. It’s fun for everyone, whether you’re seven or 97,” Sheldon said.
The River Club Glen Arbor is located at 5963 S. Oak Street, Glen Arbor, Michigan.
