5Loaves2Fish, a local nonprofi t organization dedicated to alleviating hunger and supporting individuals experiencing homelessness and food insecurity announced the appointment of new co-directors Caleb and Corrie Piersma.
This strategic leadership change marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the organization as it continues to expand its impact and reach. Founders Bill and Michelle White, along with Emily Kanitz, current operations director, recognize the importance of keeping the organization fresh with new energy and ideas.
“We all want to see 5loaves-2Fish continue to serve our guests with great homemade food made with love and dignity and to create a legacy that continues until the need is no longer and food insecurity is solved. We believe Caleb and Corrie will do just that,” Michelle White said.
Caleb and Corrie bring a wealth of experience in nonprofi t management, community engagement and innovative program development. With a proven track record of successfully leading initiatives that drive social change, they are poised to steer 5Loaves2Fish toward new horizons.
“I’m excited to see what this dynamic duo does with the organization; I know it’s going to be great,” Emily Kanitz said. As 5Loaves2Fish moves forward under new leadership, the organization remains committed to its core mission of fighting hunger, fostering community development and empowering individuals to achieve selfsuffi ciency. With a renewed focus on strategic growth and innovation, 5Loaves2Fish is well-positioned to address the evolving needs of the communities it serves.
The Whites will continue as 5L2F board members, volunteers and will continue with speaking engagements. Bill has also recently been elected to serve on the Safe Harbor board. Emily will spend the next few months transitioning out of her role and is looking forward to volunteering with the organization.
