The second annual Glen Lake Schools Foundation Fundraiser June 6 raised more than $20,000.
The event, held at the Three Barn Farm near Maple City featured student performances, live and silent auctions and cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
Funds raised at the event will support children in our school community, allowing the foundation to help gift the school’s Student Assistance Fund which allows the school’s counselors to meet a wide variety of student needs.
A few examples of how this money is spent are assisting family contributions to support school trips, purchasing needed clothing, buying backpacks, and helping pay for dental or eye wear.
'We would also like to thank the 120 people who attended this event, the many individuals and companies that donated auction items, food and drinks, and our lovely barn,' committee spokesman Gina Woessner said. 'We also want to thank Rob Stowe and talented choral performers and our student volunteers who assisted with parking (in the rain).'
