I hope all you guys out there had as great a Father’s Day as I did. Just kind of reminds you of what a great family you have.
Once again you can tell visitors are arriving, which is a good thing, but you can tell by the amount of “fudgie alarms” going off during the day.
For all newcomers, fudgie alarms are car horns going off of people are parking shopping or dining somewhere.
This is not derogatory as most of the people in business or with families visiting are happy to hear them.
I think that by now most people know that the Cottage Bookshop in Glen Arbor has a new owner. This will be the fourth owner of this business which started sometime in the early ‘90s until now. It all started with Molly Weeks to Barbara Siepker to Sue Boucher and now new owner Jenny Puvogel. Congratulations all the best.
While we are in the area of the bookstore, some might not realize that there is a park with public washrooms right next door.
Pathways to Sleeping Bear will host events this summer including Happy Hours and Open Houses. The first being “Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail. Trailside Open House” at the intersection of the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail and Glen Haven Road. June 27 10 a.m. to noon.
