One thing you can be sure of in our area is that you can’t be sure of anything as far as the weather is concerned. We’ve had great weather and lousy weather last week, but it didn’t seem to slow down the visitors.
The annual Solstice Half Marathon has been postponed or canceled affect taking a year off. I am assuming to reevaluate and come back bigger and better if they do. For more information go to (raceday@racedayevents. com).
If you haven’t been able to catch “Fivemind Reeds,” the next concert will be Saturday, June 15 at 6 p.m. at the Leelanau School.
Keep in mind that this is summer, also known as construction time. Pierce Stocking Drive was closed May 31 until June 8 for some pavement preservation and also be aware that the lefthand turn lane construction into the Dune Climb will start shortly. The Dune Climb will be open obviously, while the road construction is taking place.
Congratulations to Lance Roman on becoming a grandfather again. Theodore Lance is a recent addition, and daughter Mackenzie is doing well.
