Army Captain Gunnar S. Carlson from Suttons Bay Township took command of Headquarters Support Company, Headquarters & Headquarters Battalion, U.S. Army Training Command, Fort Jackson, S.C., on June 6. He is a 2015 graduate of Leland Public School and a 2019 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, N.Y. He is the son of Eric and Gail Carlson of Suttons Bay Township.
