The St. Mary School Class of 2024 consists of 15 students who have been awarded over $913,000 in scholarship and grant money.
Nearly $40,000 of the scholarships are local scholarships and were awarded at the St. Mary High School Award Ceremony on May 23 in the St. Mary gymnasium.
Local scholarships have been awarded to the following students: • Della Bunek — Leland Women’s Civic Club Scholarship; Rick & Sandy Koehler Scholarship in memory of George Thurner; St. Mary Christian Leadership Award; U.S. Marine Corps Scholastic Excellence Award.
• Sarah Bunek — Cedar Chamber of Commerce Scholarship, James Hearne Hillsdale Scholarship, Leland Women’s Civic Club Scholarship and St. Mary Christian Leadership Award.
• Kendra Couturier — Bruce Floyd & Lisa Elaine Price Memorial Scholarship; NMC Wildcat Merit Scholarship; Richard Family Academic Scholarship; Suttons Bay Conservation League Scholarship; St. Mary Christian Leadership Award and Thomas G. Coulter Scholarship.
• Leah Fleis — Bruce Floyd & Lisa Elaine Price Memorial Scholarship; Donald & Linda Morton Scholarship; Ed & Irene Fleis Education Fund Scholarships; St. Mary Christian Leadership Award.
• Benedict Freundl — Anonymous Benefactor Award.
