The Old Art Building will host classical string quartet, Six Mile Strings, on Saturday, June 8.

Six Mile Strings is a Detroit based classical string quartet formed by four friends: Yuri Popowycz, Natalie Frakes, Alycia Wilder, and Tom Sullivan. Since forming in 2019 the quartet has performed in venues ranging from the Music Box at the Max in Detroit to the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula, from inside the beautiful Basilica of Ste. Anne de Detroit to outdoor concerts in the greater Traverse City area.

Lauded as “the most fun string quartet in the world” by Interlochen Public Radio’s Kate Botello, 6MS strives to bring a wide variety of genres, styles and compositions to the ears of listeners live in the hall or in the home.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 ($25 OAB Members) and available for purchase on the Old Art Building website ( www.oldartbuilding.com).
