The Leelanau Children’s Center (LCC) recently celebrated its 27th Annual Golf Scramble at the Leland Country Club, bringing together 80 dedicated golfers who all endured windy conditions for a day of fun and philanthropy.
The event was a resounding success, with participants rallying together to support LCC’s financial aid program, ensuring that Early Childhood Education remains affordable and accessible for all families Leelanau County.
The Golf Scramble, a longstanding tradition, not only showcased the community’s commitment to education but also served as a vital fundraising platform for LCC’s financial aid program. Through the generosity and enthusiasm of the participants, over $12,000 was raised to support families in need, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to benefit from high-quality early childhood education.
One of the highlights of the event was the opportunity for players to indulge in delicious baked goods prepared by families, volunteers, and community partners like 9 Bean Rows. These delectable treats added an extra layer of enjoyment to an already exhilarating day on the golf course and helped raise an additional $300.
