Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes will celebrate National Trails Day Saturday in Glen Haven along with the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
National Trails Day, the nation’s largest trails event, is in its 32nd year of encouraging all to leave the trails better than how they found them.
Millions participate across the country, pledging to care for public lands.
The event will take place between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. A park pass is required.
Whether a current Friends volunteer or new to the organization, all are invited to help the Friends report on every trail within the park during the event.
