The Michigan Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) will host a Mental Health and Wellness Fair Saturday, May 4 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Grand Traverse, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The church is located at 6726 Center Rd., Traverse City.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and AFSP is encouraging everyone to get involved by taking one simple action to encourage their friends, family, and community to take their own and others’ mental health seriously.
At this free event, AFSP will also be presenting, “Talk Saves Lives”, a community based presentation providing participants with a clear understanding of this leading cause of death, including the most up-todate research on suicide prevention, and what they can do in their communities to save lives. The presentation will be conducted from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and no reservation is required.
