The Old Art Building (OAB) in Leland will celebrate Earth Day with six events beginning next week.
Journalist Peter Annin will provide a “Freshwater Focus” next Thursday, April 18 as part of the International Affairs Forum.
He will speak about the history of water use in the Great Lakes from 7 to 8 p.m. Doors for this free event open at 6:30 p.m.
Family Art Night inspired by Tyree Guyton is set for 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 19. Cost is $30.
Monday at 2 p.m. Coffee with a Ranger is slated. Tom Ulrich, retired deputy superintendent with Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, will be the featured speaker. This event is also free.
On Friday, April 26 at 9:30 a.m. the OAB Garden Crew will host a cleanup on the exterior of the building.
Events will conclude on Saturday, April 27 with a concert by Grammy nominated cellist Hans Christian. The concert begins at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30.
