Tap classes offered

If you listen carefully on Wednesdays and Thursdays, you could hear the pitter patter of dancing feet in Suttons Bay. Leelanau 4-H is offering tap dancing at the Suttons Bay Congregational Church for three age groups: Tiny Tappers (ages 5 to 7); Tap Time (ages 8-12) and Timeless Taps for adults.

The Rev. Robyn Long Carden will teach the classes in the lower level of the church, which last week installed a wooden tap floor.

Tiny Tappers will dance from 3:30 to 4 p.m., Wednesdays; Tap Time 3:30 to 4 p.m., Thursdays and Timeless Tap, Wednesdays at 1 p.m.

A six-to-eight week session will conclude with shows. The church also has a tap shoe lending library.
