Raises totaling $5,100 were approved during the annual meeting of Centerville inhabitants held March 23.

Supervisor Ron Schaub reported few people attended. Those who were present supported salary resolutions which reflect raises of more than 10% over that approved for fiscal year 2023-24 which ended Sunday, March 31.

As proposed the supervisor’s pay will go from $11,500 to $13,000 in the new budget year. Compensation for the clerk position will increase from $17,700 to $20,000, due to additional election workload. The treasurer’s pay will increase to a lesser extent, going from $17,700 to $19,000.

Revenue of $617,227 is anticipated in 2024-25, up from $598,477 in 2023-24. A 2.5-mill levy for fire/rescue services will bring in $342,987. This will be paid to Cedar Area Fire & Rescue and includes funds toward future equipment purchases.

State shared revenue will bring in $135,729, unchanged from the last fiscal year. Revenue from the township’s allocated millage is expected to increase from $64,654 to $74,284.

Moneys generated from a special assessment district for improvements to roads in the Chalets Subdivision. This totals $40,664.

And a 1% tax administration fee will bring in an estimated $27,000.
