A Bingham Township man has a new book.

R.G. “(Gene) Kelly penned the book called “Seen By Gene” a collection of snippets, tweeners, columns and short stories.”

Kelly is a retired CEO and corporate president of P.D.M. Lumber and manufacturing company. A Vietnam combat veteran, Kelly dedicated the book to all U.S. Military veterans that have experience PTSD.

“This collection of writings has taken me a couple years to write,” Kelly said in the book preface. “It is a collection of short stories and opinion columns, which you may or may not agree with. Doesn’t matter, they’re only my opinion.”

The book includes pieces about “God and Country” as well as the importance of persistence, fairness and common sense.

It also includes more on the “dangers of socialism” and bringing God back to society.

It is Kelly’s third book. This first book was called “From There to Here” and second, “How I became Irish.”

Kelly is a nationally certified Hardwood Lumber grader and inspector. He has two grown children, three grandchildren and lives with his wife in Bingham Township.

The book and his previous efforts are available via email ( [email protected]) and Venmo@genesbooks.
