I have said it before, I will say it again, Mother Nature is a fickle lady. We have had nasty weather the last two years on this past weekend.
Not much else going on this week other than getting ready for Easter Sunday. Don’t forget the Community Easter egg hunt which will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Lions Club Park. Bring a basket for your goodies.
Once again remember the Community Easter Dinner which will be held on Easter Sunday, March 31st, from 12 o’clock noon until 2:00pm. This is a free Easter dinner held at the United Methodist Church in Empire with the benefits going to the Empire area paper pantry and is also sponsored by the Empire Area Community Center.
Another reminder, fly your flag on the 29th which is Good Friday and National Vietnam War Veterans Day. This a day to honor and a day to celebrate Good Friday.
Not much else going on right now folks, we can look forward to Glen Lake Restaurant Week which will be held April 26 through May 4 , obviously more later.
Happy Birthday wishes to Matthew Wieber, Dorne Yeager, Pam DePuy, Wayne (Doc) Jamison, Pat Taghon (Who I am happy to say, is doing better), Lee Payment and Dianna Sheridan.
A quote especially apropos for Easter, “I was thinking about how people seem to read the Bible a lot more as they get older, and then it dawned on me they’re cramming for their final exam.” — George Carlin.
Be safe, be happy, enjoy your family.
Go patriotism.
